Company background

Evve Group is a residential builder that works on projects ranging from $300,000 to $9 million, typically managing up to 10 projects at a time. The company’s team consists of talented engineers, construction managers, and tradespeople who are dedicated to upholding the Evve Group’s high standards. To improve their efficiency, Evve Group was looking for a solution that would allow them to create multi-mapping between Xero and Procore, enabling them to merge accounts without risking the security of financial data.

Challenges 

One of the Evve Group’s key challenges was supplying project managers with information needed to track invoices and ensure timely payments without granting access to sensitive financial information. Anthony explains, “We needed one spot for the project managers to work from and follow up more frequently”. 

Managing multiple projects simultaneously had meant project managers could inadvertently miss payments, which could strain relationships with subcontractors.

“Project managers need visibility on when an invoice should be paid, especially when managing several projects at once, it’s easy to miss a payment. Streamlining invoicing processes

Evve Group spent time restructuring their business to optimise their own accounting team’s time. “We spent some time looking at restructuring the business so my accounts team didn’t have to put so much time into invoicing itself. OneCore allows our invoicing information to be stored in one spot, instead of spreading it across different parts of ProCore. It’s about efficiency and speeding up the process,” Anthony explained.

What stood out the most is the time saved inputting and retrieving data. “While data entry is a little faster, the biggest time saving is when things aren’t working and I’m trying to find information in numerous places. As General Manager, I can see that things are getting done and all invoices are making it into our system,” said Anthony.
