Company background
RestoreFast provides emergency flood and mould remediation services to commercial properties, servicing construction contractors, property managers, REITs, developers, and building owners.
With just 11 full-time employees and a network of field contractors, RestoreFast handles an impressive volume of work.
Benjamin Yi, who was RestoreFast’s Finance and Technology Manager at that time, credits their success to their innovative use of technology, particularly a mobile app which streamlines workflows and enhances documentation and reporting capabilities. “Our main value proposition is our tech utilisation. We feel that we can provide enough documentation and reporting for not only our clients to get what they need out of our work, but also to make the insurance claims filing and approval process seamless.”
Challenges
RestoreFast’s tech stack included Procore for project management and Xero for accounting. However as the company grew, the lack of integration between the two became a major pain point.
Benjamin explained the inefficiencies were extremely challenging. “There were a couple of people working the backend financials, making sure everything was inputted into Procore and the same thing was inputted into the accounting software,” he recalled. “We had checks and balances to make sure everything was being mapped one to one manually, which was very time consuming.”
The resulting delays in financial insights were also problematic. “When I first joined, we were acting without accurate financial data in our books, and that was obviously a significant issue.”
Solution: Interfy’s OneCore integration
Searching for the right Xero/Procore integration led Benjamin to Interfy’s OneCore, which he chose for its capabilities and value. “In terms of what OneCore offered, there was next to no competition,” Benjamin noted.
Seamless implementation
Benjamin had initial concerns about configuring the integration, particularly to match their specific workflow for invoicing, project mapping and contact management, but these were quickly alleviated.
“I thought it was going to be too much of a heavy lift for our company size and that it would take too long,” Benjamin admitted. “But it was honestly super easy. We configured it the first time, and we haven’t touched it since. It works perfectly.”
Real-time data flow
OneCore has enabled real-time data flow between Procore and Xero. The subsequent visibility has transformed RestoreFast’s ability to make informed decisions and manage projects effectively. “Our costs are flowing back and forth from Xero in real time, so we get to see updated profitability by the day,” Benjamin explained. “Meanwhile, our field operations team can keep track of how their projects are running, while leadership can see all data in real time.”

Efficiency and scalability
Since implementing OneCore, RestoreFast have dramatically scaled their operations, without expanding their finance team. “We process at least twice the number of invoices that we were running previously,” Benjamin reports. “In terms of dollar value, I’d say we’ve tripled our top line.”
Improved accuracy
Without manual data entry, RestoreFast have reduced their risk of errors. “We are fully reliant on our financials to be updated daily,” Benjamin says. “As long as we and our accountants are doing things correctly, we can be 100% sure the data will be relayed in Procore in real time.”
Enhanced analysis capabilities
With more reliable data and less time spent on data entry, RestoreFast’s finance team can focus on higher-value activities. Benjamin explains: “It allows us to spend far more time on data analysis rather than having to worry about numbers being transferred between multiple fragmented software platforms.”
Streamlined financial management
By automating the data transfer between Procore and Xero, OneCore has dramatically reduced the need for manual data entry. According to Benjamin, “I actually single handedly ran the accounting for the first few years we implemented OneCore, and I was only able to do it because of the scalability that OneCore offers.“
