Company background
Southcoast Construction primarily works on commercial projects for the Ministry of Education, together with council, residential and commercial works. The company handles a large volume of projects simultaneously, which makes accurate and efficient data management essential to their success.
Challenges
Before implementing OneCore, Southcoast Construction used Xero for accounting and Workflow Max for integration. Managing data entry between project and finance teams was a significant challenge, with double handling and potential for errors. With a requirement for more robust data reporting capabilities, they turned to the popular Procore as an alternative.
Solution: Implementing OneCore
Southcoast Construction’s decision to make the transition to Procore was cemented by Interfy’s OneCore integration. “Without OneCore to connect Procore to Xero, we wouldn’t have switched our platform. It means that site managers can now handle project financials independently, while the accounts team only need to check on them.
Progress Claims: no more double handling
One of the primary benefits of the transition was no longer having to double handle progress claims.
Gina explained, “Project managers used to have to do claims in Excel, run a variation schedule, then enter the progress claim. Now it happens automatically and only needs to be approved.” This simplified process has saved the company valuable time and resources.
